Family and Consumer Science Classroom Remodel

At Brockway High School

In 2021, BCAT artists remodeled the kitchen area of the family and consumer science classroom at Brockway High School. This project was aimed at providing more space to allow groups of students to work in the kitchen more efficiently and ensuring students had a bright, inviting environment to work in. For the remodel, contributing artists installed a backsplash using handmade ceramic tiles, added lighting and ceramic storage containers along the countertops, and built two kitchen islands to serve as additional workspaces and demonstration areas. Contributing artists include Liana Agnew, Anthony Lordi, Melissa Lovingood, Mary Kay Palazzo, Hannah Scrima, Caleb Sykora-Bodie, and Matt Zorn.
